All was as to be expected for these type of day tours and Bill and Nino did their jobs as driver/guides very well but the following points were certainly negatives:1. Paradise Tours sub-contracted to Grand Canyon Tours which was not made apparent until the booking was completed - we were looking for a smaller company experience for what was to be a very long tour day2. The vehicle was not what was advertised and a larger vehicle was substituted to carry more passengers - this vehicle had disfunctional toilet, on-board entertainment system, wi-fi and a creak in the undercarriage when at highway speed (very annoying) - probably put into service at the last minute and worst of all, the windows had a fine mesh cover making sightseeing and taking suitable photos very difficult3. Lunch at Bubba Gump’s in Santa Monica was the highlight of the tour but when travel time to a destination on a day tour (in this case through a desert and LA traffic) is more than 2 times the actual time touring, probably not worth the time and money for what you will actually get to see and experience - much better to go on your own and book a tour in LA/Hollywood which is otherwise a very interesting destination to visitDisappointment lies mostly with Paradise Found Tours and their advertised tour description as well as the quality of the vehicle provided on that particular day - as far as I am aware, Grand Canyon Tours otherwise certainly provided the service they were sub-contracted to provide by Paradise Found Tours

After researching several tour companies we decided to use Paradise Found Tours for our trip from Las Vegas to the south rim of the Grand Canyon in mid September. It was a reasonable price with good reviews. Our bus picked us up from our hotel on the strip on time. We stopped at a small station to check in and switch buses, this is where they also served a simple breakfast of donuts, water or coffee. The bus ride was comfortable and the driver was knowledgeable and friendly. He went over instructions with us and stressed how important it was for everyone to be back to the bus on time. We passed over Hoover Dam, not much of a photo opp. there and than a stop at a gas station, with a McDonalds next to it, in Kingman, AZ. This was also a photo opp. for a Route 66 sign. Our next stop was Williams, AZ where we were offered a free buffet lunch before arriving at the Grand Canyon. Our driver went over each stop at the canyon and told us when and where to be back on the bus. We were also given an order sheet for Rodeo Bar and Grill for a meal (for purchase) on the way back. We headed back to Las Vegas on time with the stop in Williams. This is a long day, but would recommend this tour company if you are thinking of going to the south rim.

Awesome trip! If you're in Vegas and haven't been to Hollywood this trip is highly recommended .. our itinerary was Hollywood sign, Santa Monica Pier where we ate lunch (included in the tour package) Around LA, Beverly Hills and a stop for an hour at Hollywood Walk of Fame. Our driver and tour guide is great as well!

For anybody wishing to take this tour be prepared for a long but thoroughly brilliant day. Our trip started with a 6.30 am pick up and transfer to the tour bus just off the strip. Our driver Ron 'Jerry Springer' look alike raced us down the long straight road to California. We picked a tour guide named Gregg on route and this is where it got full on. To say Gregg is a character is to not doing him justice. From the moment he got on the bus and took over the driving/tour he did not stop talking. His knowledge is unbelievable. For some it will be too much and a bit like marmite.. love him or hate him. I loved him!! What he doesn't know about the Stars and Hollywood/LA is not worth knowing and he has obviously been doing this stuff for years. The tour stops off at Santa Monica beach and plenty off time is given to explore the beach and pier and then meet for lunch at Rusty's surf shack. Food is very good and included in the tour. The tour continues through Beverly Hills and the very glamorous places around the Hollywood hills. Gregg was able to point out exact houses lived in by various stars alive or not.. Down Rodeo drive and along Sunset boulevard, with bars and hotels picked out with their connections to recent or historic celebrity activity. Finally reaching Hollywood and the Chinese theatre. Here you get an hour to explore the area with all the stars and the best view of the Hollywood sign you are going to get. From here it's the long trip back and the eventual silence of Gregg!! With Ron back in charge and a little dazed( this was his first experience of Gregg) we headed full speed back to Vegas. We arrived back in the room at 11.00pm, so as you can see it was a long day. I don't know if Gregg will always be the guide but I for one will never forget him. A great trip ........
