tripadvisorThis is an old furniture store that has been repurposed as a gallery and store of hand made arts. I just was walking by the building and HAD to go inside. I was immediately greeted. They offer classes, I found. My different wares by artists
MoreWe love Jacoby's! It's definitely one of the businesses east of downtown Alton that helps the area thrive! Very interesting artwork displayed inside that I would recommend y'all to see. Support local art in this uniquely historic river city.
MoreThis is a premiere showcase for the arts. There are many exhibits, performances and activities. JAC reaches out to the community at large to come and participate in their many offerings. Love this place.
MoreThis is an old furniture store now reclaimed as a gallery, arts/crafts shop and theater. We saw my son in a play here. It was very well done. It's a nice re-use of a formerly empty store.
MoreWhat a great find in the middle of Alton IL. From the first moment you walk into the space you feel/hear the historic floors. From the first experience you're taken into a nostalgic time from years past. While the building is from the mid-late 1800's, you'll be pleasantly surprised with the 1930's addition of art deco renovations. The lighting has been very well designed for the historic space. The galleries are well lit, yet the lighting is not seen; unless one looks up to see the historic tin ceilings on the 15-20 foot ceilings. Regular lighting throughout the building reflects the 1930's renovations. From the Jacoby furniture store centuries ago to gallery and art space, this is a MUST see when in Alton.
