I dropped in during a week long vacation in Galveston for a scheduled restorative yoga session. I felt very welcomed. Most of the people were regulars. Yoga Haven supplys mats and props if you don't have your own. It's a nice quiet room, plenty of space, good instructor, and I'm sure to go again next time I'm in town.

We did the yoga on the beach while on vacation and loved it. Kathleen runs a great studio and is an excellent instructor! We enjoyed the beach session so much we went back the next day for 75 minutes in the studio. It was wonderful and Olivia did an excellent job leading the group. Can't recommend this place enough!

So glad I finally made it over there and Kathleen, Bianca and staff have opened my eyes to what Yoga is and can do for ones mind and body. Namaste.

Earlier this month, I spent 3 nights in Galveston celebrating my moms 75th birthday, along with my 3 sisters. It was a very rainy weekend, but luckily it didn't stop us from having an awesome time! I arranged beforehand, a private yoga session with Kathleen at The Yoga Haven. Only mom had ever done yoga before, and that was many years ago. I emailed with the owner, Kathleen, what I wanted, (very gentle yoga, for beginners, with some meditation). When we got there, she was all set up and ready for us with props and mats. We didn't have to bring anything. Kathleen did an awesome job introducing the 5 of us to yoga. She is an amazing teacher, with a very warm and friendly personality. (A bonus, Kathleen is certified to work with women that have had mastectomies.)We all felt very comfortable. We enjoyed this so much that we each are in the process of looking for classes in our own towns. The cost was very reasonable...cheaper than the lunch we had earlier that day at Fishtails! This was a great group activity that I would love to do with my kids and husband on our next vacation.

I happened upon this amazing studio that offers yoga for all levels and some specialty classes as well. Nestled in the strand off the beaten path you will find this sanctuary for zen. Check the schedule and enjoy a class while in town!
