tripadvisorMy husband and I travelled from Massachusetts to see Miss Saigon with my Aunt who is a resident of White Plains. The show was incredible. It was a beautiful story and the performers were excellent. I had also seen Jersey boys at the beginning of the year and enjoyed that very much. I thought the staff was especially helpful and it was a wonderful experience. We will be back!
MoreStaff removed an autistic child and his family for enjoying the show with too much excitement. I am disgusted and disappointed in the theater! Strongly do not recommend!

Every time you walk in that door or purchase a ticket to a show you should know that you are supporting a company that discriminates against people with disabilities.I am a father to a 15-year-old child with special needs that is non-verbal and has a genetic disorder that inhibits communication and comprehension. He is a loving sweet boy that LOVES theater and music. My family prides itself on including my son in everything in life, that any 'normal' person can enjoy. We do not allow his disability to become an inability. My son was excited by the performance and was enjoying it until he was treated unfairly due to his disability. He was very excited by the singing and dancing, ironically at a show about 'inclusion.' However, my son was cheering differently than others and not always on que. He makes 'different' kinds of happy noises. At intermission, my wife, was asked to leave or move from their orchestra seats to the back of the theater along with my daughter and her friend. This destroyed them inside. The feeling of embarrassment and rejection was horrific. My daughter cried and my wife had a pit in her stomach that has yet to resolve. It's ironic how the arts are supposed to encourage acceptance across the board, yet this theater promoted acceptance to all that were not mentally challenged. The poor artsy people were disturbed by my son's non typical cheering and excitement. It must be nice to be able to live life without obstacles. After reaching out to management subsequent to the performance, the manager John Ioris refused to acknowledge the issue and further demoralized us.I kindly ask that you support my family and others people and families with special needs and chose another venue. Every dollar spent sends a message that people with special needs are ok as long as they are segregated from society.
MoreThe White Plains Performance Arts Center is a premier and spectacular performing arts theater in White Plains, New York.It has featured numerous classic and modern theatrical shows, Broadway musicals, concerts and other performing attractions. In December of 2021, I brought and treated my wife and myself to see “A Christmas Carol” at the White Plains Performance Arts Center.“A Christmas Carol” is superb Christmas theme musical and my wife and I enjoyed the show from start to finish. The cast performed brilliantly in every aspect.Their acting, singing and dancing was flawlessly executed and highly entertaining!!!What my wife and I love most about the White Plains Performance Arts Center are its seating, because it is very comforting, provides great spacing between you and fellow patrons and positions you with great views of the stage no matter where you sit. Both my wife and I definitely give two thumbs up to the White Plains Performance Arts Center and highly recommend that you visit and watch a performance at this great theater!!!
