tripadvisorWe decided to treat good friends of ours to the ABT Cafe Flutes, first off we were told we could go through the doors at 2pm, however 20 minutes later we were taken upstairs (elevator was also available) to a very small room with long tables, we were seated by staff then moved, in front of us were two 3 layer plates of food, we assumed being '4 of us' and only '3' of each item (sandwich etc) that we had two of the 3 layer plates as no one said otherwise, turned out we were 'wrong' as the guests beside us would have gone without. The whole experience was very poorly done, the staff themselves were great but the organizing, the venue (small space) which made it very 'warm & uncomfortable' plus the staff had little room to maneuver between tables then to top off it off, a few guests asked if they could have a container to take food home, only to be told a solid 'no' so a lot of food gone to waste! Apart from the staff & music interlude, would never attend this particular event again.Especially at $65ea (including tax)
MoreIt starts at the door we were greeted and went to box office to get tickets. Great staff friendly we were immediately seated at our table. Our waiter came to the table with Water ask if we wanted any additional beverages. The food was very good and served in timely manner, my husband and I both enjoyed Sunday afternoon. eating dinner and watching the play Tootsie for a couples day out I highly recommend the Arizona Broadway theater and would attend another show. when you read the menu, it clearly states all up charges to the regular meal being charged we couldn’t ask for a better wait staff even better than some restaurants. I highly recommend going to a show in dinner. The cast of Tootsie put on an excellent show. Thank you.
MoreWe were very disappointed that the original concept of Cinderella was ignored in order to use it as a platform to promote political correctness regarding social issues i.e. interracial, social classes, the economically challenged, etc. instead of just being entertainment! Our children are already being socially programmed in school!
MoreThere was a problem finding my ticket at will call, problem getting someone to take our order, problem getting appetizers after waiting 45 minutes, problem getting a soda delivered also having waited 30 minutes before i found another waiter to help me get something to drink...problem with having to wait 1Hr 15Min after ordering to find out they ran out of my entree, and then having dinner finally brought 10 minutes before the show began so I could eat in the dark, and have the dishes sit on the table until the 1st curtain fell...finally...I discovered the Phantom was NOT the Andrew Lloyd Webber Phantom of the opera, but a different story, and different music. I'd give ABT a minus rating if possible for dropping the ball at the box office, the dining experience, and for what id consider at the very least Vague advertising regarding the Phantom to look very much like Phantom of the Opera To sum it up, I'd say it couldnt have been worse.
MoreIt was a truly awesome experience! Everything was done so well. From the ease of getting the tickets, to parking etc is well done and easy to manage even for old codgers! The menu was smart and the food was really well executed!! Yum! The service was truly excellent! But the performance of this alternate version of Phantom was nothing short of stunning!! The acting and singing was top notch (my daughter is an opera singer trained in Italy) and I can be knowledgeably critical. Nothing found wanting here! The staging, the costumes and every bit was just so enjoyable as well. I rarely feel so enthusiastic from A to Z but WE do! Can’t wait to get tickets for the next production at this shining star of entertainment source right here in the West Valley!
