Community Forklift Building Materials & Supply ·$$

Community Forklift picks up donations of reusable building materials, furnishings, and house parts from all over the DC region, and operates a 40,000 square foot salvage shop that is open to the public 7 days a week.. We are a reuse center for building materials, architectural salvage, and more! Our name refers to our mission: to "lift up communities" in the greater Washington area by reducing waste; creating good green jobs; building the local economy, providing education about reuse, making repairs more affordable for homeowners and small businesses, and providing free supplies to nonprofits and neighbors in need. At our huge warehouse, you can shop for surplus, gently-used, and vintage building materials from every era, at up to 75% below big-box prices. You'll find unusual antiques, mid-century furniture, & brand-new hardware still in the package. Typical products include reclaimed lumber, kitchen cabinets, doors, windows, appliances, lighting, plumbing fixtures, furnishings, tools, and garden items. Or, you can donate to receive a tax deduction. We even offer a free pickup service, and you can schedule an appointment online (We try to make it as easy as possible for contractors and builders to donate!). Community Forklift: better for your wallet, and our world!
