After years of learning the trade in various cities & restaurants across the country, he opened the doors to the city of Brownsville in 1982. After working with his son, Gilbert Rendon, Sr. & grandson, Gilbert Rendon, Jr. he retired in 1995. With the help of his father, Gilbert, Jr. decided to extend the legacy to Harlingen in 2000 and McAllen in 2004.
