The city of Murphy did a really nice job of designing central park. It has several distinct areas. Open air theater with nearby restrooms. Flat area for multiple purposes - soccer fields must of the time but available for booth setups for a fair. Best thought out area is the food truck court. Concrete drive fir the vehicle wide enough that pedestrians can walk on concrete as well instead of gravel.

During PSA games or tournaments, all lots are jam-packed and even the street along the fields gets full. The splash pad seemed small to me so I imagine it gets too full on weekends in summer. It is near the amphitheater. There is a nice large pavilion past that on the hill with trash cans (that were gross), nearby restrooms/water fountains, and tables with benches. The playground is behind the pavilion and also has trash cans. The playground is a little small but has interesting-looking equipment like a large half-circle climbing web. Both areas looks clean and well-maintained. Past the playground is a large pond and a walking trail path.

My family has lived in Murphy for 16 years and we were thrilled to find out that murphy was building this park with the amphitheater. There are concerts here usually in June and some other fun activities take place here throughout the year. The concert series is so much fun for the whole family. We have teenagers and younger kiddos in our family and everyone loves the concert series!

The playground is on the small side but nice enough. The splash pad is very nice. There is a pavilion, picnic tables, plumbed restrooms and it is adjacent to the amphitheater. We ride our bikes to it using the bike paths.

Still looks like a work in progress but its nice and there are a lot of pluses. There is an open pavilion with cooking station that can be reserved, restrooms, playground, a small splash park, amphitheater, and walking paths.
