tripadvisorThis really is not a tourist venue, but rather one that could be made into something wonderful for the local folks. We did enjoy the exhibit that was hanging - mostly watercolors by elderly folks and we wished there had been a docent to dicuss things with, but as stated - it is not a real tourist site,
MoreI came to know about KACC approximately 4 years ago. KACC is located in a residential neighborhood on the west side of Lancaster PA. Lancaster PA is becoming a growing art mecca and KACC has become paramount is that transformation. KACC is the largest (floor and wall space) art gallery in the city of Lancaster. In addition, it is a teaching bronze foundry that is rivaled by none. Yes, KACC is different than all of the rest in Lancaster city. We offer both a beautiful gallery to show works of art, but we also have a venue where artists can produce their works of art. The icing on the cake is that we teach at the Center as well! From painting to sculpture and welding to kayak making, the Executive Director, George Mummert, is holding nothing back. George's vision for a community art destination is in it's infancy stages, but it is moving forward on a rising star. Please, when in Lancaster PA, visit the Keystone Art & Culture Center at 420 Pearl Street. It is a gem of this city!
