Quiet walk on a nice afternoon surrounded by palms and overhanging Spanish moss with great views of an adjacent marsh. Several water bird sightings in the marsh along with small crabs on the shore. Paths were well maintained and easy to navigate.

I liked it. It was a very peaceful exposure to Florida woodland and salt marsh environments. Lots of cabbage palms and Spanish moss. Was the only one around when I was there, but I'm a male, ha, so maybe not that big a deal. I wish I had had more time to explore. Observation platform affords view of marsh and Timoteo River with Guana whatever conservation area off in the distance, I believe.

Stokes Landing is off the beaten trail, but offers a great place for short hikes, senic views, and a nice overall outing.

Multiple connected short trails featuring slash pine, live oak, palmettos (Sabal palmetto), dwarf palmettos (Sabal minor), and wetlands. Tucked away like a private back yard. Consider wearing closed-toed shoes and bug spray.

We rode our bikes around the paths and first went to the outlook tower which gave a lovely view of the marsh and intracoastal; and then went to the marsh outlook which didn't have any place to really enjoy the view. It is buggy, so use lots of repellent - I suspect going there is December would be beautiful to walk or bike ride. We took a few wrong turns so there are some paths that are well tred but have no markers so keep a look out for the white or yellow diamond markings on the trees. We enjoyed it as a quick and close to home excursion out to see a new view.
