If you care about animals, this is not the place to go. Please avoid if you love horses. They are not happy - it's obvious to see.

Pre-booked a sleigh ride for our Xmas trip and paid the deposit as recommended on their website. It also says on the website that the tour is available with or without snow.Received an email 2 hours prior saying it was cancelled. They offered no alternative option to rebook and would not refund the deposit despite it being their choice to cancel on the day. Rude & unhelpful, seems they make their money out of stealing people’s deposits and cancelling the trip. I would highly advise against booking with this company.

DO NOT BOOK WITH THESE PEOPLE!!! We booked a horse and sleigh ride earlier this week which was canceled (via email) 2 hours before our booking. Whilst I can understand that weather is a huge factor in Lake Tahoe and these things happen; Borges have refused to refund our deposit, citing that it is ‘non-refundable’ deapite them cancelling and no alternative date being available for us to rebook whilst we are visiting from Australia.It would appear that businesses auch as this one don’t really need customers and nor do they care about their reputation.Beware: if at any time Borges cancel your tour regardless of the reason or your ability to rebook, they will keep your deposit…..sounds like an easy way for them to make some money without lifting a finger!!

The park, the horses, and the guides were great! We booked our trip months in advance and had to make a change the week before to push back our appointment by an hour - not an easy feat for 18 people! The Borges and their staff were amazing! They were very accommodating. They had several carriage options for us, the guides were perfect for our group (adults & kids), the horses had so much personality, and the photo opts in the forest and on the beaches were incredible! Everyone loved it!
