This has been my escape from city living, found in the middle of a city. It is one of the best urban wetlands I've ever been to. There is an abundance of wildlife, birds, and views. Yes, you hear cars because it is in the middle of a city. But it is a great example of a greenspace in an urban place! One of my favorite places to go in Omaha.

This is such a nice place to walk and relax. It is very calming with a nice trail and even has a view point to watch nature by the water. I loved watching the turtles on the logs in the water and being at a viewpoint that doesn't disturb them. The viewpoint hides you from them so they are all living in peace but close enough to get a good view. I want to come here more often, and its nice coming out here between a busy schedule to refresh.

One of my favorite places to spend an hour or half a day. It is quiet, usually very few people and those you meet share a love of nature. Beautiful butterfly garden, a pier out into the small lake/pond, and two blinds from which you can usually get good pictures of several species of birds, including ducks, geese, herons, etc. Did I mention it is free?

This place is and has been one of my favorite destinations when I can't get out of the city but I need to get some nature. There is so much flora and fauna, it is truly a gem.
