The room we were in had a nasty dirty and molded shower. We had roaches in the room! I had requested a call from the manager but, I was ignored for two days! I called the Hotel only to be connected to a very RUDE and DISRESPECTFUL General Manager She said she came in our room when we went to breakfast Because she is the manager and she can come in She also said she had roach problems in the room with the previous guest in that room also. We had requested they wait until we had our breakfast because we didn't want them around our belongings! She hung up on me !

The good: All of the staff were wonderful, especially Melyssa, rooms were clean, beds were comfortable, rooms were quiet despite numerous noisy children, breakfast was basic, but tasty.The not so good: This place needs some work - chipped paint, cracked floor boards, and several rooms within our large party had issues with their keys not working, even after it was “fixed,” it would happen again and again.

Unfortunately, our car was broken into at this hotel (via smashed window), along with numerous other ones, so I cannot in good faith recommend this hotel.What I will say is that the staff were all very empathetic and were quite accommodating after we told them. They all seem like genuinely good people from the desk clerks to the maintenance people who were cleaning glass from the parking lot. It was not just our hotel, but neighboring ones as well, and the police called and told us it happened again the following night as well. That’s not the hotel’s fault; it’s just a product of being in a bad area, I guess. Up until that point, I would have given the hotel an OK grade. We had two rooms and in both of them we discovered lost items from previous guests when we opened up the pull-out couches. In one room was a fold out knife and the other was an inflatable ball. The cleaning staff really need to do a better job I would suggest. Breakfast was not very good. Very few desirable items to choose from, not a lot of seating and an abnormally early cutoff time on weekends. It was better than nothing, but fell below expectations.The room never really felt safe, even before the break-ins. Guests kept propping open the side door to the hotel open with a rock therefore circumventing the security keypad. It was a little unnerving knowing that literally anyone could enter the hotel at night.In summary, break-in aside, it’s an ok hotel for the night as long as you don’t have high expectations. The staff are great though, that needs to be noted.

Juanita, the General Manager, is great to work with! Dedicated employees are one in a million these days and she definitely shows that she loves her job! We stay here every year for the farm machinery show. Because of her, we will keep coming back!

This hotel is a true sample of excellent hospitality. The friendly staff (shoutout to the front desk), cleanliness, and convenient city-center location make it a must-stay. We'll be back!
