tripadvisorWe visited Highland Park for the second time recently when in the area. It is a beautiful and peaceful space. In May we enjoyed seeing all the lovely spring blooms. There were lilacs still blooming, flowering trees and bushes, as well as the most magnificent Rhododendrons and Azaleas in several spectacular colors. It was well worth our drive to the park. We truly enjoyed our stroll around admiring its beauty.
MoreI always go a week or two before the start of Lilac Fest. The magnolia trees are at peak, and they are magnificent!
MoreBeautiful experience at the lilac festival in Rochester! The blooms were so beautiful and the park was very busy. The parking was tough for the festival, but we managed. We weren’t able to enter into the festival grounds with our pup, but we were able to admire the blossoms!
MoreWe started our Mother’s day events at the Mad Hatter, review yet to come. Then we took a couple hours to tour the lilacs, rhododendrons, and other flowering plants throughout Highland park. You can get food and arts in booths near the top of the hill during this lilac festival. We also went through the conservatory that had a very minor charge to enter.Several pictures around the park are attached.
MoreI visited during late April and the trees were flowering and the daffodils were all showing off. What a fantastic space! I didn't make it into the conservatory, but the trails and the trees that I wandered were stunning. Nearly all the trees I saw had ID tags so you know who they were and when they were planted. I hope I will be able to return again in the future...maybe even during a Lilac Festival!
