We visited the Ambassador Theatre to see Chicago and had a great experience. The theatre itself is beautiful and has that classic Broadway charm. It also felt very intimate, and there really didn’t seem to be a bad seat in the house.The only downside was the limited number of stalls in the women’s restroom, which made the intermission line a bit long. Aside from that, it was a wonderful venue and a great place to enjoy such an iconic show.

Caught a show here and wow the energy was something else. Seats were comfy enough, good sightlines from where we sat. Loved the vibe and the crowd was really into it, had a blast with friends. Definitely lively place to check something out.

We made a weekend trip to see Whitney Leavitt in Chicago. The cast did an amazing job and we enjoyed the musical as always. Who doesn’t love the songs and the choreography in Chicago? I see a lot of complaints about the seat sizing and leg room. May I suggest booking the way I always do in theaters? The tip top last row, you will have the whole row to yourself and can spread out as you wish. Still good views, sometimes better. Oftentimes, you can elevator to the top and just step down one row into your seats (not here).

The Chicago show itself was spectacular. The cast were amazing and vibed against each other in a way I haven’t seen before. Charlotte d’Amboise positively shifted my thoughts about the Roxie character - in my opinion she played it better than Renee in the movie. Sophie Carmen-Jones absolutely stole the show. When she was on stage it was hard to look anywhere else. However, AVOID AT ALL COSTS PURCHASING FROM BEVERAGES AND SNACKS … we bought a 10oz (300ml) red wine, a cocktail (and yes I know these are expensive anyway), a 600ml bottle of water, and a small box of peanut m&m’s. Now we all know buying at these places can be expensive, but when I checked my statement, I was blown away by the absurdity. In total those 4 items cost $77 US (or $122 AUD). Seriously. This is extortion. In conclusion, definitely go see the show, but take your own water,

Fantastic show, good view from front row of mezzanine on side but legroom is absolutely dreadful. Queue for toilets was massive so didn’t bother and heard drinks prices were extortionate so didn’t bother with them. Hardly saw anyone drinking - why not sell cheaper and people would buy - don’t understand
