MorePublic Square is an amazing place to visit. It’s in the center of Cleveland with a lot of deep history and nostalgic roots. The Square itself boasts a war memorial, bronze statues, a small park, fountain and has many major buildings around it including a church, hotel, casino and Key Bank Headquarters among other notables.
MoreOne of Cleveland’s best known spots, it’s clean and a nice place to relax. No one there aggressively panhandling, though it was 35 degrees and snowing. The Civil War monument is beautiful, especially inside. Free to visit, but donate a dollar or two to keep it going.
MoreEnjoyed ice skating and the snow in Public Square. Recommend for December with more to do. The hot cocoa was great and Santa was there as well!
MoreFrom the city's founding the New England style square was designed to be at the center. Today, it has been reconstructed to hold more civic gathering spot in the city's financial center. It was originally 4 separate squares but 10 years ago redesigned for more and larger gathering space. Today the square still holds the historic Soldier's and Sailor's monument from the Civil War as well as a statue of Moses Cleveland, town founder. We walked through the space around 7:00 when we arrived downtown and walked to see the buildings. Good Public Area.
