Step back in time and walk the old brick sidewalks of Biltmore Village. Enjoy shopping at the many unique and charming shops that make up the village. When you are ready for a bite to eat, there are restaurants to suit everyone's taste, from quaint coffee shops to the roomy, festive Mexican fare of LaPaz. This village sits at the entrance of the Biltmore House Estate and beckons to be discovered. There is even a museum that houses the history of the village through maps, photos and more.

tripadvisorGo early to walk around the gardens, Bass Pond or the shops. We were able to take photos and walk around the grounds before our 11am tour of the house which helped us enjoy the experience. Some Christmas decorations and trees were already on display in the house which made me quite happy. So grand and incredible! An absolute must visit! Don’t miss Antler Hill and the winery. Wear comfy walking shoes.
MoreWe were scheduled for the 2:30 time slot and thought it would be tight to get everything in, but it was enough time to walk through slowly and take in the magnificence of this structure and the lifestyle of this bi-gone era. As a student of architecture I was enthralled with the craftsmanship throughout and the engineering marvel of the floating cantilevered stone staircase. You will not find access to this type of craftsmanship or engineering marvel at this scale many other places in the world. The family's commitment to the preservation of this estate is a testament to their legacy. I will go back many times after this. Do NOT miss touring the conservatory in the gardens, if you love plants. It was indescribable. It would have been nice if many of the plants were identified by a label, however. Prices in the nearby shops were not exorbitant and they have a lovely selection of souvenirs and mementos. The visit to the Antler Village was a bit disappointing as we arrived a bit late and the food choices were not plentiful and what was available was very pricey. That must be why there is a food truck on the grounds. The atmosphere is very peaceful with a touch of graciousness missing in many tourist areas. I would like to go back there and give it a second chance.
MoreI didn't quite realize the devastation of the Biltmore Village until we got here last week. Hurricane Helene pretty much demolished the area in Sep 2024 and it's still trying to build back today. There are a few stores open, but nothing more to see. The hope is that more build back, but as of today - not worth the visit for the stores/restaurants.
MoreSadly, Biltmore Village did take a hit when the hurricane came through in 2024. HOWEVER there is a lot of rebuilding going on, which means some stores are open, some about to open, and others in-process. On other corners where the elevation wasn't as high (particularly the historic buildings), those are either awaiting demo or restoration. It's sad, for sure, but the town needs the tourism so don't let that deter you!
MoreThe Village is still recovering from the flood so there were only two shops open. We were hoping to spend the day there but it was a no go. We went to downtown Asheville and had a great time. Don’t waste your time on the Village right now.
