Blue Moon Restaurant ·$

Founded in 1934, Blue Moon was once the den of popular media figures. Housed in the University district, the club is frequented by students who love to spend their evenings with some good music and fabulous drinks. The beer at the bar is particularly famous and the food is the usual pub grub. Every day the venue presents a line of local artists who entertain the crowd and lighten up the mood.

The perfect spot to have a late night cap. It was a super cozy vibe on a weeknight with friendly service and good vibes. The bartender's dog was adorable. Their decor is cool and the music was good.

On Mondays they have a fantastic Grateful Dead banded by Andy Coe. Do yourself a favor and get on down there! The bar is of the classic dive variety buy no sketchy characters hanging around so super fun and the drinks are reasonable for Seattle.

Ok,not for everyone, but OMG...one of the best Dive Bars I've been to in a while. Was staying up the street and being a Dive Bar Junkie had to check it out...Only stayed for 1 beer...but had to get up and walk around 2-3 times to check the place out...Bartender was very friendly and the bar full of local characters makes this a must go to if in Seattle and you like your Taverns rough around the edges.. My GF even bought a weaved friendship bracelet from a guy making them at the Bar....Bonus..! Wish I could of stayed to check out the food and nightlife, but still pretty lively at 4 in afternoon..

Seriously cool venue. Old Seattle, so rough around the edges. Love the vibe/energy, and the music is often amazing.

This bar has the best live music in Seattle period. If you want to get stoned out of your tits and rock your head to the best grateful dead cover band then your in he right place. It's age is a testament to its awesomeness and I'm sure it will stand for many, many moons to come. Go visit if your in the area. You won't regret it.
