We are old theater buffs and this Irish group was playing here for one night so I made sure we got tickets. It was affordable and quite enjoyable, comfortable, etc. There was not much history to see though. Bit in the downstairs lobby. Free parking a block away on the weekend was nice.

The Temple for Performing Arts is a perfect venue for offering unique, off-Broadway-type shows. The smaller venue makes for an intimate evening of enjoyment.

A very historic building. It is an old historic Masonic Temple. A true diamond in the rough. A super venue for any type of event, especially a Wedding and Reception!

We enjoyed a wedding and reception here. Gorgeous facility and well organized food and drink service. Quality of food was above average considering size of party. The elevators are marginal, but otherwise perfect.

The exterior is typical Des Moines architecture of the period, but the interior with its Art Deco design is very interesting. The ground floor has a Starbucks. Area is safe and attended by many day and now night. Upstairs, you can watch many plays.
