tripadvisorGreat venue for any performance. We sat upstairs and watched everything without an obstructed view. I am not sure I would be able to see as much on the floor level. Very limited selections, but the venue did serve alcohol. Employees were cheerful and the restrooms were clean. The show was sold out and they were checking seats and tickets so don’t try and work your way down to a better seat. Parking is limited and street meters are internet pay only. We were able to book a room next door and we were granted access to a small deck next door. I am not sure if it is a shelter or a bus station on the opposite side of the building. Several people were chilling over there with shopping buggies and bags. You have to eat or have a stop by the restaurants and shops in the little area.
MoreCame to Macon to see Charlie Starr and Benji Shanks acoustic show They were fantastic of course, but the venue is very cool. Old theatre with good acoustics, balcony etc. The staff was over the top OUTSTANDING - everyone was very helpful, from the ladies checking tickets to security and servers. Audience was properly socially distanced - hope to return when this place is packed someday.
MoreLove hargray! They host great events and the staff are always courteous! Saw southern mama last night and couldn't have asked for a better show! Hubby and I are legally blind, so stairs make us extremely nervous. They put us in the accesable seating which took the anxiety away on our end. Great experience and I wish all other venues (and their employees) were this nice. There was a security guy who stayed mostly on the stair beside us leading down towards the stage... didn't get his name. He was very helpful in showing where to go (seats, bathrooms, bar ect...)
MoreWe saw Scott Sharrard play here in October 2018. he was scheduled to play at the Big House, but weather forced a venue change, and I’m glad it did. It’s a great location and the acoustics are wonderful. I’ll be back here on my next trip through Macon.
MoreLove this venue. Small enough to feel intimate with acts. Not pretentious but not a dive either. Sound is amazing. Staff always friendly and accommodating.
