Purity was established more than 75 years ago. The dairy offers products including milk, ice cream, frozen treats, other dairy products, water and other drinks and juices. In 1925, Miles Ezell established Ezell s Dairy. In 1945, the dairy operation merged with Rosebank Dairies and Purity Dairies was born. Miles Ezell established many common innovations in today s dairy market, such as refrigerated tanks on farms, vacuum pasteurization (which keeps 'onion' flavor out of milk), non-wax milk cartons and the yellow plastic jug. In 1998, Purity Dairies joined Dean Foods, the nation's leading dairy processor and distributor. Purity is still family-operated and is the only remaining dairy in Davidson County. Nearly 500 employees encompass the Purity family, offering more than 100 different products throughout Tennessee, Alabama and Kentucky. Purity is headquartered in Nashville, Tenn.
