tripadvisorBeautiful and extensive exhibits. Free admission, staff was very friendly. Recommend the restaurant as well.
MoreWho would imagine that a free art museum would be so terrific? Impressionist paintings, works of silver. and a huge variety of art. All fascinating and well displayed. The museum restaurant. Gertrude's, was just wonderful and a memorable experience.
MoreI am thankful I purchased tickets back in January for the Amy Sherald: American Sublime exhibit at the Baltimore Museum of Art that ends April 5. So nice that the well-attended exhibit sold out. Amy Sherald won the prestigious Outwin Boochever Portrait Gallery Competition in 2016. She received $25,000 and a commission to paint a living individual that will reside in the National Portrait Gallery's permanent collection.Former First Lady Michelle Obama chose Amy Sherald for her 2018 official portrait. That discovery opened the door for Amy's recognition. The exhibit at the Baltimore Museum of Art features 38 large-scale portraits using her signature grayscale technique. The exhibit offered a wonderful opportunity to learn about Amy Sherald's artistic journey.
MoreA nice museum, good selection of impressionist paintings. Not world class, but definitely worth a visit if you're in Baltimore
MoreThis was great. So many exhibits and artifacts from so many different cultures and parts of the world. Truly eclectic.
