I hiked Stillwater with my 12 year old and 5 year old. You have to go about 10 miles on a dirt road to get to the trailhead. There is a very small parking lot (1 handicapped and 1 normal spot) so expect to park on the side of the road. The trail is well maintained. The grade is easy and I believe you gain about 600ft of elevation in the 1 mile it takes you to get to the tower. There isn't a view at the top unless you actually climb the tower itself. However there is a picnic table and some benches up there where we enjoyed lunch. We only saw one other group, they were descending as we were ascending. The tower is in awesome condition, I believe it was restored very recently.

This is off the beaten path, nice quite area. The trail is semi tough, it's all uphill going up and all downhill on the return. It can be a bit slippy so wear the proper footwear. The view from the fire tower is beautiful. There is a map in the fire tower that will show you the surrounding area.
