tripadvisorI have stayed at many Hilton properties over the years and I have to say this was one of the most disappointing experiences I've had, particularly when it came to the food and service.First, I was surprised and disappointed that the hotel's main restaurant featured Indian cuisine. While I understand that everyone has different tastes, I would expect a Hilton Garden Inn to offer a more traditional selection of American dishes that appeals to a wider variety of guests. But the real disappointment was the breakfast buffet. At $17 per person, calling this a buffet was almost laughable. The entire hot food selection consisted of half a pan of fried potatoes, half a pan of sausage, and one pan of scrambled eggs. That was it! The remaining choices were a few pastries, oatmeal, and some yogurt.I ate breakfast there four mornings, so this wasn't a one-time experience. Each morning, the oatmeal appeared to be sitting in the same pot, with the amount getting smaller each day. The pastries were not replenished, and the overall selection was extremely limited. To make matters worse, the service was poor. For $17, I expected fresh food, a reasonable variety, and attentive service. Instead, I felt like I was being charged a premium price for what amounted to a very basic continental breakfast with a few hot items thrown in.As someone who regularly stays at Hilton properties, I know they can do much better. This experience fell far below my expectations for the Hilton name.I left feeling completely ripped off. I don't mind paying for a good breakfast, but I do mind paying $17 for a poorly stocked, limited selection with disappointing service.Hilton Garden Inn Fort Collins needs to seriously reconsider its dining options, breakfast quality, and the value it provides its guests. I certainly would not recommend paying for breakfast at this property.
MoreVery far out of town, they raised the rates a lot because there was a home game for the local college. The rates dropped and according to Hilton they have 100% price match which the hotel refused to honor. They also advertise a pool and a restaurant the garden grille and bar. The restaurant is now an Indian restaurant and the pol was closed the entire weekend. Our bed had tiny square pillows that looked more decorative than like bed pillows. We called down twice for different pillows and never got them.
MoreWe had just flown into Denver via Atlanta from London, this was perfectly located for us en route to The Black Hills. The reservation was last minute, the ho6el is conveniently located for those driving north/south jut off the interstate.Front desk staff were pleasant and efficient. Our room as clean, linens fresh & beds comfy. We arrived late & left early , continuing our long drive north. We didn’t take advantage of breakfast.
MoreNice hotel. Quiet, comfy bed, in room safe and fridge. Nice modern bathroom. Clean. Safe location. Restaurant ok—inexpensive, but decent food. Served breakfast and dinner.
MoreWe had a very disappointing experience at this property, primarily due to an interaction with a front desk employee, Scarlett. Upon arrival, our digital key did not work—an issue we’ve encountered here before. After parking and unloading our belongings, we had to repack and drive to the main entrance to get a physical key, which was frustrating after a long trip.We were traveling with a service animal, which was properly declared on our reservation. At check-in, we were asked about the dog’s status and clearly explained that it is a service animal. We even offered to provide documentation, though none was requested at the time.At checkout, we discovered a $75 pet fee had been added to our bill. We contacted the hotel to resolve the issue and asked to speak with a manager, but our calls were not returned. Despite again offering to provide documentation, the hotel refused to remove the charge and insisted on keeping the fee.As a frequent business traveler and Diamond member, this level of service was very disappointing. The lack of responsiveness and unwillingness to address a legitimate concern felt unprofessional and discouraging. Unfortunately, we will not return and cannot recommend this hotel based on this experience.
