We have been patrons of the Lyric since they first opened on Mountain Ave. It is a well-loved, bizarre, and fun venue for a movie, trivia night, alternative party etc. However, we feel the management needs to keep an eye on both the food quality and the cleanliness. The menu has changed to be simpler, mostly pizza or pizza crust based. We ordered a large supreme and it was among the worst pizzas either of us have ever had, with the center floppy and under-baked, and the pizza sauce tremendously over-salted, rendering it close to inedible. We left most of the pizza. The only good part was the outside crust. Also, the hallway and Mothership are smelling dubiously funky. Maybe a good clean is in order.

We were in Fort Collins to meet our new grandson and decided to see the Oscar-nominated documentaries because there is only so much visiting you can do with a newborn. The art deco layout of the theater is super-cool--almost worth the price of admission itself! There are all kinds of food and drinks available, including beer on tap. Or you can just get a free glass of filtered water in a solid plastic glass that can be refilled. In the room where we saw the documentaries (they called it the Big Room) there were a bunch of couches up front as well as traditional theater seats in the back. If I lived in Fort Collins I would see films in The Lyric every week!

We are from SC are were visiting friends during Christmas vacation. What a wonderful surprise to go to the Lyric for some throwback fun and see a wonderful movie. Good food and drinks, loved the cozy theater and overall downright charming. I lost my WALLET and knew it had to have happened at the Lyric. It was found during their deep cleaning and I got it back intact! Many, many thanks to the employees that helped find it and got it returned it to me. That says volumes for the Lyric and Fort Collins.

The theater is comfortable (couches, YES!) and the food is amazing (local and veg options galore). The films are great, high quality screens and sound is on point. Best theater I have ever been to. Funky/art-house vibe, laid-back atmosphere. Favorite place in Fort Collins.

When you go see a movie at the Lyric, it’s not like your average theatre. The Lyric is not a big stadium theatre. It is a multi screen theatre but the theaters are each small and intimate. This in no way detracts from the experience. It’s still a large screen and great sound system. They are eco friendly and your drinks are served in restaurant style plastic cups. Other service containers are recyclable. Seating is comfortable and varied. The lobby is a bar and eatery too.
