This is hands down my favorite spa. I'm a repeat customer and love it. Be aware, however--this is not your typical day spa. It's in the redwoods and reflects the character of the Santa Cruz Mountains. Melissa is great, easy to talk to and very willing to mold your spa experience to suit your needs. Highly recommend!

Horrible Spa Experience - First off, seem like almost every time there was a neighbor with a Chainsaw going to town next door, not very spa like and relaxing lol. We went back because she seemed nice and we like to support local business so we overlooked the flaws of a small house spa operation. Well my wife booked a massage this time for two, she said ok I'll see if the other massage therapist can do it. We hear nothing for weeks and all the sudden she calls and text my wife today stressing her out The massage therapist is here and I'm going to have to pay him and charge you if you can't make it What?! Lady first off you didn't give my wife a time or confirm????????? Does that make sense to anyone to just call a message therapist over with NO TIME SCHEDULED......So we were just supposed to show up and guess when the guy is going to be there and that he's able to do it? So she responds with sorry it's been a bad winter and I have three jobs. I said yes I understand it's been a tough winter for all of us around here, that' doesn't make it right to want to charge us for something you didn't confirm and even give us a time for. I tell her we were busy and can't drop everything and make it to something we didn't think was happening and want a refund. Of course she says no and it says in her waiver that she doesn't do refunds. So your going to not give a refund for something that was YOUR FAULT that you didn't confirm or even give a time for? Ok, so she basically got free money for two massages and did nothing, but screwed over local customers. Ya congrats, well done, smooth. So I would be careful if there is ever a mix-up that is even her fault ,don't expect to get your money back because she has it in her waiver. If she does that to people that have been there multiple times best believe she will do it to anyone.

My daughter lives in Santa Cruz. I went to visit her mid August, & we spent 2 nights in this glorious spa setting. My daughter is a massage therapist & teaches yoga, so she appreciates the natural wellness & beauty of this spa. She had a massage there last year & couldn’t wait to go back & stay. I cannot imagine a more beautiful place to stay, in the midst of Redwood fairy rings & quiet mountains. The owner is an amazing woman & we had fun talking with her about her work. I even bought her book, called “Balance,” which is so easy to read & work through. I live in Rochester, New York, on the east coast, so I am learning to cherish any balance I can add to my life! I would highly recommend staying at this quiet, peaceful, beautiful gem of a place. You’ll see bottles of children’s bubbles set out - don’t be afraid to blow them into the breeze!!

To say that you will find Relaxation and Rejuvenation at Spa Santangelo would be a complete understatement! Melissa Santangelo - 12 year owner/operator and Goddess of delivery of amazing spa services is not to be missed. From Massage to a seasonal food facial (like Pumpkin with Cucumber Eye Pads) and a Hot Tub soak are just a few of the amazing packages she offers. Check out the website for all of the Special Services offered at the beautiful and inviting space in the Redwoods in the Santa Cruz Mountains. (Easy access from Felton at Hwy 9)

I love this spa! Melissa is an intuitive healer that employs many techniques to set you back in balance. I particularly love the sound healing and Reiki she incorporates into the Swedish massage. I recommend this spa to anyone seeking relaxation, rejuvenation or relief from pain.
