Jesse's Sports Bar, Grill & Liquor Store — Margate's original neighborhood sports bar since 2002. We're a real bar — not a corporate chain, not a hotel lobby with TVs. We serve cold drinks, kick out troublemakers, and have been doing both since before most review sites existed. If you want a sanitized experience, we're probably not your place. If you want cold beer, great food, and people who actually remember your name, pull up a stool. The food is legit. Our Phillys are made with a half-pound of meat and have no business being this good this far from Philly. Burgers are hand-pressed and made to order. Wings come in more sauces than you'll know what to do with — boneless or bone-in, up to 50 pieces. Everything's priced like it's still 2010, because we actually give a damn about that. Liquor store next door is open late — booze to go until midnight every night. The bar itself is open until 2am weekdays and 4am on weekends. On our Yelp rating: We've been here 20+ years. Over half our 5-star reviews from actual regulars get filtered out by Yelp's algorithm, and yes, we've collected some 1-stars from people we asked to leave. We stand by both.
