Pikes Peak Tour leaving from Colorado Springs The Tour building was fine. Nice folks. Wasn’t first come, first serve. We arrived first and were made to sit in the back of the VERY BUMPY bus. We prefer the front and that’s the main reason we arrived so early. However we were told we had no option and had to sit where they told us. I went to the car to get blankets due to the temperature difference but was told I didn’t need them because they provided them. The bus has NO windows and is open air. We were freezing and still weren’t offered any blankets. Finally after asking three times we were told they were at the front if we wanted one. Also, one big NEGATIVE....the speaker system was very subpar, especially in the back. There were six of us and none of us understood what he was saying. Occasionally we’d catch something we understood, but for the most part, it was pretty bad. Also, there are no restrooms on the bus. We didn’t need it, but just FYI. I wouldn’t recommend this tour. Get a bus with windows and a good sound system.

We had very briefly entertained the idea of driving up Pikes Peak ourselves, and were so glad we did not. Our Gray Line tour guide picked us up at the depot in Colorado Springs. Others on the tour were picked up from hotels in the area. Our driver was very knowledgeable and an experienced driver, negotiating the many switchbacks that would've given us heart failure! We stopped twice and were able to use restrooms (the one by the Bigfoot statues was a pit toilet, just FYI) and take pictures. You are strongly encouraged to drink water to eliminate or at least lessen the effects of high altitude. The view is breathtaking once you get to the top. Easily a 20 degree difference in temperature from the bottom to the top. Pay attention to the weather and dress accordingly. The visitors center at the top was poorly staffed. Hopefully they ramp that up during heavy tourist season. But the tour itself was very good because of our tour guide, whose name we unfortunately cannot remember.

I did enjoy a few things along the tour but it was boring. Also the process is horrible. They picked us up at 1pm only to travel to Cherry Creek mall approx 40 minutes away TO HAVE OUR TICKETS VALIDATED. We got off the tour bus, walked into the mall, gave a man the printed tickets and then walked back to the bus, got on and waited for everyone to complete the process. We picked up the tour guide and started the tour at 2 pm. The tour guide could have come to Union Station the pick up spot and validated our tickets and started the tour from there. It was a waste of an hour of our time before the boring tour began. At the end we were just riding around town because they ran out of things to show us. Save your money and don't go.

Booked tour to get better overview of Denver area. Our tickets were prepaid thru their site. The bus meet us at Union Station only to transport the group to an entrance at Cherry Creek Mall. Here we allgot of the bus entered the mall only to be “ checked in” handed a small piece of paper validating we had paid. This paper was then handed over to another individual.Very strange! The guide lady overall was very nice but weak in her presentation and through knowledge of what she presented. I strongly suggest not wasting your time or money. The three of us bailed out at one of the stops due to the boring presentation. For the company owners, you may want your tour guides to have more training on all the monuments in the parks besides the M.LK. Monument! When asked what the monument was adjacent from the M.LK monument she was completely unaware one existed. Many of the stops were closed or blocked by street block parties yet there was no plan by driver or guide to blaze another trail to accommodate those issues. Very poorly run and with a big hint of inexperience.

September, 2019. The springs/shocks on this bus were SO terrible that every bump in the road was bone rattling and jolting. The tour guide was fine but we could not enjoy the 5 hours on the bus as we were literally thrown up off our seats with every bump. Also be aware that the summit is a large construction site to replace the small shop/restaurant that exists. So there are many barriers and unattractive piles of debris. The views are limited to only about 1/4 of the circumference of the summit. You can drive up yourself - if we went again we would do this.
