Tempe Tavern is the latest incarnation of a bar located inside this old building that dates back to 1918. Once a dairy farm, the corner of Apache Boulevard and McClintock Road has had a commercial establishment on this site since the 1930's. The tavern is housed inside a quirky, rare River Cobblestone structure, where the barkeeps serve craft beers and the kitchen prepares burgers, sandwiches and south-of-the-border specialties. For entertainment, the tavern has something on almost every night of the week, from magic shows and comedy to live music and spoken word.

Reviews
tripadvisorWe stayed at a nearby RV park and decided on Tempe Tavern due to reviews and a suggestion by an RV Park employee.Tempe Tavern is not much to look st, and is in a sketchy area of town, but it is worth the visit.I had the Cheeseburger and Onion Rings. Wife had the side sales and potato tacos. All items were fresh and delicious. Also, the beer is plentiful and cold. Highly recommend!.
MoreWe came here for the food and drinks. There was live music going on at the time, some rock music which isn't exactly my thing. We sat out on the patio. For how busy they were, the service was still very attentive and food came out quickly. Typical bar food, reasonable drink prices.
MoreThe food was excellent but it did take a lot of time before I was served and because I wasn't with a group I really didn't get fast service. The food made it worth it and the prices are good.
MoreI love this place. It's right beside the light rail and blink and you would miss it. The food is amazing especially the burgers. Go on a Monday and it's buy one get one free. Wednesday is $6 wings day which are tasty too. We have a dog too and they let us bring her to sit outside the pub and she gets a bucket of water and a treat too.
