tripadvisorBE AWARE: The Domain is not so safe anymore. My truck was broken into while I was having dinner with my family. I had parked at the parking lot near Maggiano’s and iPic, and at about 8 pm when I got back, I found out one of the back windows was gone. That’s how they do it, so the alarm doesn’t go off. They took some things and on top of that, the moron damaged my leather seats. Not planing in shopping or dining there for a while. It’s infuriating.
MoreMy CAR was towed!!!! It’s a Wednesday 1:30pm there is no one here ! I pulled into a parking spot in front of a “spa” there was a truck on one side and a golf cart on the other. I went to lunch. Was out by 2:35 and my car was gone. The SPA had it towed. There were 4 spots open and no one inside. Asian money laundering spa!!! The tow sign was inbetween spots. I am a hardcore shopper. I will never shop or dine here again. I took a gold Bulgari watch to Zadoc jewelers they still have not had it fixed 2.5 months later . Every business is sheisters
MoreWe were recently in town and stayed at the Lone Star which is right across the street from the Domain. The shopping, dining and entertainment choices are incredible. The actual mall area is very clean and well kept. However, there are pet friendly apartments located within the Domain. I am going to assume that everyone with a pet brings their animals to the sidewalks to go to the bathroom. The amount of large, and I mean large, dog feces in the dirt/grass area between the sidewalks and road was disgusting. So watch your step and don't step off the sidewalks.
MoreBeautiful outdoor shopping and eatery.... High end shops so bring your highest limit credit card. We ate at Mexican Sugar. Very good food with subpar service.
MoreMy friends took me here while I was visiting Austin, and I totally get why people refer to it as Austin’s “second downtown.” The Domain is a large, stylish, upscale outdoor shopping district located in North Austin but it’s so much more than just a mall! With 100+ stores ranging from luxury designer boutiques to well-known mainstream brands, it’s honestly a shopper’s playground. Whether you’re browsing high-end fashion or just popping into your favorite everyday stores, there’s something for everyone. What really sets The Domain apart is that it feels like a true neighborhood rather than just a shopping center. It’s a high-density, mixed-use district with residential apartments, office spaces, restaurants, and a buzzing nightlife scene all woven together. The whole area is walkable and has a modern, urban energy that makes you want to linger. There are plenty of restaurants and bars, so it easily transitions from daytime shopping to dinner and drinks without ever leaving the area. It’s polished, lively, and perfect for shopping, eating, socializing, and top-tier people watching. If you’re in Austin and want that chic, open-air, city within a city vibe, The Domain definitely delivers!
