We thoroughly enjoyed our tour. My kids learned so much. I do wish I had my children a bit more respectfully dressed instead of shorts and tshirts. It was a meaningful experience that we will remember for many years.

Twenty friends from across the country gathered together to tour Holmes County and the Amish community. Shelley, our tour guide, was very interactive, friendly, respectful of the culture of our hosts and knowledgeable about this fascinating community. Our day started at Behalt in Berlin with an informative and thorough introduction to the Amish/Mennonite and their historic beginnings in Switzerland to the present day. Shelley customized the 6 hour tour with 6 stops for our interests and requests. The photos were taken at the shop of an Old Order Amish Buggy Maker. We were intrigued by the owner of the shop and the process of making these iconic vehicles. The delicious lunch at an Amish home was another highlight. We thoroughly enjoyed and highly recommend this tour planned and led by Shelley.

I travelled with a group of 34 with ages ranging from 1 1/2 to 85. We did the in home Amish meal. The food was very good and our hosts were so kind and friendly! We had a very enjoyable meal and would definitely do this again!

Shelly was great. She was very knowledgeable about Amish culture and practices. We went to 2 Amish homes, and a workshop and got a buggy ride around an Amish homestead. The whole morning was charming. We did the optional traditional lunch at an Amish home and can strongly recommend it. Our host was very open to talking about traditional cooking and other parts of Amish life

I took my wife and her sisters on a Sister’s trip to Berlin. Decided to try an Amish dinner in an Amish home. Shelly with Amish Heartland tours was fantastic to work with. We dined in the home of Andy and Sarah Miller. The meal was INCREDIBLE and Andy and Sarah were wonderful hosts. It was without a doubt the highlight of our trip and would highly recommend
