This park sits as a large, flat, rectangular, grassy area dominated by a huge outdoor playground and picnic facility. Built by locals wishing to have a convenient play area for their children, it was the combined effort of a neighborhood community that brought this park to life. It now holds a large sand pit playground and several different sizes of swing sets, a merry-go-round, teeter-totter and more. It is half a mile from the Golden Lion Inn and the Residence Inn. No admission.

tripadvisorThis park has all the basics for kids, a big field, things to climb on, baby swings, a small covered shelter, and two small slides. Pro is that the play area is on astro-turf, so less muddy. Con was that the picnic shelter/park are small enough that there's only room for one large family in the shelter, so it can feel like intruding on a private party to go play here if your not the first arrival.
MoreIf you need to find a place for the kids to get their wiggles out in midtown, we go here often in the summer. Great playground and picnic area with a huge green area. Not incredibly picturesque, but an easy park to watch kids at even when busy.
