The bridge over the fishing pond is broken so that you cannot get to the trails starting there. We tried to go around the lake to start one of the trails but you need to cross the creek, which leaves you with wet feet, depending on the shoes you are wearing. We tried to walk the Cavalry trail the other way around but it ended in the brushes.Too bad the trails are not maintained.

We were in Prescott Valley to visit the ice skating ring at Findley Center with the grandkids. We had a bit of extra time and searched for a park for the kids. They were thrilled to blow off some steam after the drive up by enjoying walking around the lake and the little bit of snow left on the ground.

This is a cute little park. There are picnic tables here with shelters, shady spots to park and bathrooms to use if needed. The parade of lights they have here around Christmas is enjoyable as well.

There is a small lake that is occasionally stocked with rainbow trout. Has grassy areas, covered pavilions, some old mining equipment and restrooms. There are some nice hiking trails with some that follow Lynx Creek.
