The stadium as it empties out
Dick's Sporting Goods Park Sporting Goods

The Dick's Sporting Goods Park is a soccer field, and one of the best ones at that. Home turf to the Colorado Rapids, the stadium was opened in 2007 and since then the 360 acre field has been hitting home runs by legends. The stadium is huge and has the capacity to hold around 18,000 people. The field hosts a number of other sports events, as well as cultural events like concerts by Kenny Chesney and other popular artists. Do check their website for more details about the event they host, the schedules and the tickets.

So as usual they have only the single gate for entrance. There’s already a HUGE line. But there’s no WiFi and the app fails to work here. Another complaint - they actually open the other gate only for the visiting team’s fans. Worst organized professional sporting org and stadium I’ve ever been to. 25 minutes after they open the gate and the line is still longer than I can see from here. Game is supposed to start 45 minutes after opening the gate and they may not even have everyone in the stadium yet.Another complaint: repeated times now that my season pass discount on food doesn’t work because their systems are wonky. 30 minutes since I paid. After questioning the lady at the restaurant she went to the back and “asked” and suddenly it came out and she tried to tell me they called my name earlier. I’m like no they didn’t I’ve been standing right here the entire time. Food was warm at best. Overpriced for what you get. We want to support the Colorado rapids but going to this facility is beyond frustrating. This is a very disappointing way to be introduced to purchasing season tickets.

Dicks Sporting Goods Park, home of the Rapids....sometimes you go just to watch the other team. The stadium itself is workable. Let's not dwell on the Rapids themselves, since most of the time the other team is going to be the reason to attend a match. But, this is a review of the location not the team...Dicks Sporting Goods Park...is sort of plopped down in a suburban community (not just sort of...it is). No public transportation and entirely car dependent. That means that parking is relatively ok coming in, always a mess on departure. The location is simply not meant ot handle the amount of car required movement at the end of the night. Seating and sightlines have always been decent (4 matches so far, all with different seats). I would not reccomend the south-end supporters section though having not sat there I can't speak from personal experience but it doesn't look comfortable or have a good view. Honestly...the fans are a part of the negative experience. A whole lot of not family friendly expressions. It's MLS....the vitriol is a bit much. Concessions are a big miss. Absolutely the bare minimum and nothing memorable. As other have said the lack of a big screen for highlights/replays is a missed opportunity and matches could benefit from some sort of ambiance....they just feel dead...much like the play on the pitch but that's a different review.

One of the first soccer specific stadiums in the country. However, it is showing its age especially now that the MLS is filled with so many high quality stadiums. It’s a pretty mediocre venue to watch a soccer match and feels very second rate. It is also located in the middle of nowhere far from downtown Denver with no public transportation options. The only positive is there is plenty of parking around the stadium proving a great tailgate experience.

Absolutely the worst managed large event space I've been to in my life. They have zero traffic management while leaving and event, it took over 2 hrs to get out of the parking lots. I will never return, it's a genuinely concerning safety issue - emergency services would have no way in or out.

Horrible traffic. The employees park in the paved area lots closest to the venue. We had to park in dirt field a mile away.
