My wife and I recently visited Windermere Park. After parking you will cross a bridge over a small creek which borders the park. We got our exercise walking the .37 mile paved track that winds around the huge multi-purpose green space (There is also a half mile nature trail through the woods). This park is definitely dog friendly (must be on a leash). We spent a couple hours enjoying the park. The Park is clean, well maintained and family friendly. Restroom facilities available. Plenty of parking; Located at 3355 Windermere Parkway. Open daily. Other facilities include:1-Kid’s playground2-Huge Multi-purpose green space3-Pavilion with picnic tables4-Dog park for large & small dogs

This is mainly a dog park. You can bring the family. There is a nice trail through the woods if you like nature, and there is an enclosed sections where dogs can run around and play with other dogs.

Windermere Park is down off Windermere Parkway along the creek. There is a bridge over the creek to a large grassy field with a soccer field and a dog park. A sidewalk circles the field and there is another bridge at the far end that lets you cross back over the creek and walk on paths in the woods and along the creek. This section is a favorite of our dogs who love to stand in the creek.There is a bathroom that is kept clean but it is a distance from the parking lot. They also have doggie bags for cleaning up after the pets.It is a nice place to walk and play for the locals.

Windermere Park is a nice quiet kind of hope in the wall in the every expanding population of South Forsyth. Plenty of room to move around - enjoy a soccer game or just take a walk.

Great walking tract and good tails for both humans and dogs !! Dog park will run some of the energy off....but the tails through the woods and by the stream are very relaxing
