Stayed at t he Quality Inn with a pier and a small pool and it was just what I needed. Affordable, friendly, nothing special but the staff and the view. It was a great mid week trip to refresh spirits, soak in the ocean and some sunshine. It was overcast but the views and goose island were still great! Definitely will repeat, often I hope. Crossed over to port A for lunch one day and a walk about there. Way less touristy and noise in Rockport and the staff at the hotel were nice, peir haf a great place to be reminded of Gods awesomeness early in the morning even if ya dont fish!

Such a good park! Baseball fields, dog park, trails and a lovely pond with turtles and fish. I use a walker and the trails were easy to use. There is a place to sit on the pond and we enjoyed talking to the people we met. If you want a place to rest, enjoy sun or shade, see wildlife or get some exercise, this is it!

Really nice park with a little bit of everything, sports fields, a big playground, a big dog park, ponds, paved walking trails and unpaved hiking trails. Good for strollers. Well maintained. We will be back.

My husband and I went to Memorial Park mid-week in mid-December. There is a baseball park and playscape at the entrance. After driving through the first half of the park, we crossed over a low water crossing and into an area with trails. There is a dog park, a short trail around a pond, a short pier and a windmill. The park was quiet mid-week and there was plenty of parking. Free.
