McKinney Park is not only Odessa's first community park, but it is also the center for holiday events. A great hangout spot for kids as well as adults, there is much to enjoy at this park, including shaded picnic spots, a jogging trail and a playground. Also available at this pioneer park is a community pool and a sprayground, which are great to cool off on an Odessa scorcher. In December watch out for "Starbright Village," as McKinney Park lights up the sky.

tripadvisorAnnual Christmas festival is held here yearly for Odessa. The entire park is lit up with the season of Christmas and can be viewed from I-20. Take a drive through or walk the park. Otherwise, come and play on the swings and/or walk under the majestic trees.
MoreMckinney Park is one of the best known parks in Odessa. Located close to Ector Middle School, Mckinney part is host to many ballgames as well as numerous events such as the choirs performing or perhaps a special event for pet health (such as shots). Parking is available.
Moremckinney park is nice to place to view during the Christmas season. Tranquility it has to offer in Odessa during that time of the season.. The city decorates the park every holiday season and it a time honred tradition of the city that you can see from the interstate.

MoreThe only time I personally go to Mckinney Park is when there is a special event or to watch a sport's game. It's not located in an area close to my house. However, it is the site for several city events particularly during the summer and the holidays. Parking is usually not a problem.
