According to the website, most of the galleries open at 11 a.m. on Sunday, so that's when we arrived. But there was nothing open. It was deserted. We drove around the neighborhood looking for even one gallery to try. But nada. Totally disappointing. Guess the artists didn't want our money.

Looked very interesting but not one person did we see or one place open. The website lists Mon-Thurs open 11-4 but all was closed.

You couldn't actually pay me to live in Village of the Arts. It is sketchy and it sits right next to an even sketchier area. Most of the people walking through there you would want to avoid in everyday life. I imagine that soon the city will buy everyone out and redevelop the area, it is already happening from what I could see.Also the quality of art is subpar. Stuff you might make if you were trying to be an artist but not really an artist. We refer to it as therapy art.

Fantastic place to visit if you like eclectic art. Such a fun and unique area! Lots of local artists to visit in their home stores. There are a few restaurants too.

Many cute houses with interesting art pieces inside. Unfortunately, many houses were closed. There were also some fun places to eat and music too.
