A beautiful and easy family walk, wide paths with a light gradient. Absolutely stunning views of the fall colours from the tower

Whether it’s walking, hiking, jogging, or seeking breathtaking views of the Hudson Valley, Ferncliff Forest has it all. There are multiple trails, so you can take a nice stroll, or a four mile hike. One thing to make sure to do is check yourself for ticks afterwards.

Relatively short, easy hike however for those a bit more adventurous, you can climb the steel fire tower that provides an amazing view of the entire Hudson Valley. The tower climb is intense and somewhat scary so make sure you are comfortable with lots of steep stairs and heights. Well worth the effort for sure!
