If you want to hear some great music, hang with fun people and drink the coldest beer in town, you have to go to mothers Tavern in Sunset Beach. We love the atmosphere and the casual environment as well as the down-to-earth people that go there. We love our awesome bartenders TJ and Alison too!!❤️

There's something special about a place where the local folks make the out of town visitors feel at home. That was the treatment we got as soon as we walked into Mothers. A table of surfer/musician/lifetime buddies kept us entertained with local stories and jokes. Beer was good (although a bit pricey) and peanut shells felt at home on the tabletop and floor. We had a lot of fun here and would love to come back next time we're in the area.

This very small bar has fantastic music, Friday, Sat and Sunday, afternoons and evenings. Beer and wine bar, only food is peanuts that you throw your shells on the ground. Went on Sunday 2pm Sunday Drivers were playing, Jim and Nola, great performers, you can find them in other local places in this small fun town.
