Love the park but when we took our dog there this past Saturday (6/24-23) there were no poop bags available in any of the dispensers. Worst than that there was geese poop everywhere. AWFUL, geese and their droppings all over the place. Disgusting and needs to be put under control. Get a couple white swan decoys to start with and get the place cleaned up. It’s embarrassing!

The walk path around the ponds was in wonderful condition. But the path along the river was not only in horrible condition but very unsafe. It was narrow and had tree roots across it everywhere. In many places you had to climb or jump down at least 2 feet.

We enjoyed visiting this pretty park on a beautiful Spring day. We ventured down to the river and walked the entire length of the 5+ miles of the Warren Wilson trail with our 2 dogs. Sights along the way include the beautiful mountain stream, a stand of bamboo trees and glimpses of agricultural projects being undertaken by the Warren Wilson college students. It's a fairly easy hike and takes 2-2 1/2 hours and is well worth it.

Never crowded; always pleasant. Walk along the Swannanoa River, behind the ball fields, past the stream. Sit, read or just be by the water - it's all good.

We took our dogs there for a walk and it was peaceful and they enjoyed the walk. There is a river that runs adjacent to it so we could check out the ponds and the river. Few people fishing and watch out for the geese.
