The first Friday of every month is a time when various shops and establishments stay open beyond the usual closing time. This past Friday was not only First Friday, but also Living Windows. Various shops put real people in their display windows to dance & move and sometimes create scenes from beloved winter/Christmas stories.The artists in the Orr Street Studios are all local talent and have varying degrees of talent. You certainly can find one-of-a-kind art piece for your enjoyment from sculpture, photography, ceramics and welding.

Orr street is a wonderful place to visit and see artist works from Columbia and surrounding areas. Great place to have a studio if your an artist.

Like many art communities, this is a shared location with artists and galleries for the local art scene. Most seemed to be closed, but there were enough open to make it worthwhile to wander around a bit.

I have attended a number of art shows here, as well as the artrageous fridays and have always been enthralled. Typically they have a show and appetizers on those friday's, but just wandering around and looking at the art studios is fun.

My daughter and I love to go to this place for their First Saturday for Kids. They do it about every three months and have different art activities for kids. They also showcase art from local artists.
