If you'd like to learn more about Durham, Tobacco Road Tours has a 90 minute walking tour of Downtown Durham. The tour is temporary but a great way to see Durham. We met Brad, the guide, at the Bull Statue that was easy to find. I learned some interesting tidbits on this tour and saw parts of Durham I had not been before. The architecture was hard to see on some buildings as they were boarded up either because of damage or to prevent damage. But we did see some nice murals; DPAC and DBAC; Tobacco Road including Burt's Bees; and Black Wall Street. We were given some suggestions on where to return when businesses reopen as one building has a vault in the basement.

Outstanding way to spend a Sunday afternoon! Durham is full of history and I learned a lot. Brad did a fantastic job pointing out the many historical sights along our walk, including very interesting murals and shared stories about the rise of Durham and the role it played in Civil Rights History. I highly recommend you check it out!

Ghost Tour and Bar Crawl was a really fun time! Maxine was a wonderful guide and storyteller; she showed how well she knows the town and the history of the area. High recommend.

I had the time of my life, the group I was with was very welcoming. My tour guide was a wonderful story teller. Her stories gave me chills, goosebumps, and even made my skin crawl. Hands down to the staff who I spoke with over phone, who were very patient, polite and concerate. I would love to come back again this time with a friend or two. I would recemend the haunted tour for anyone wanting to do something differnt in Durham. Thank you for a great time!
