Mike was our tour guide and very knowledgeable about the city. Lake front is a great place to ride Segway, especially for beginners.

Would not recommend this company. We booked a 2 hour tour and it only lasted an hour. Our tour guide did not point out any points of interest along the way. We made a stop at one location and then turned around and took the same route back to the starting point. I've done several segway tours in various cities in the past and never did we turn around and take the exact same route back. The tour guide was consistently on his phone; texting and making phone calls while giving the tour. Very disappointed. Not worth the money.

The ‘tour’ started ten minutes late at 11:20 am and then consisted of a twenty minute lesson in a storefront on how to ride a Segway. The ‘guide’ Nikolai seemed extremely anxious and just led us like soldiers down the lake front path. He also had a strange sense of humor which was more taunting than funny. He shared about three facts about Chicago — the one about the Buckingham fountain was incorrect. We ended around 12:50 pm — it was a very short ride and expensive up and down the lake front.

This was by far the WORST Segway “tour” I’ve ever been on. I wish I could give zero stars. I also wish I would have read these reviews first, sadly we just went to the closest place to our hotel. There were 10 people in our group and the guide, Nickolai, took an exorbitant amount of time teaching everyone how to operate the Segway, there were only 3 people who actually needed a lesson, everyone else had previously been on segways. The tour was supposed to be from 12:30-2:30, we left at 12:30, went along Lakeshore Drive, stopped at the museum to get a couple of pictures, then to Soldier Field (but across parking lot, we didn’t even get close) then we turned around to go back. We stopped by the fountain, but only across the street, snapped some pictures, then kept heading back. Not once did we get any information about Chicago or any Chicago history, which is what these tours are all about. If we wanted to ride down Lakeshore and look at the sights we could’ve done that ourselves, and not pay over $60 for a ride on a Segway that should have been an actual informative tour! The “tour” ended at 1:17. It wasn’t even an hour long, there was more time spent in his shop teaching everyone how to ride, when we didn’t need an intense lesson. He also charges $3 tire insurance because if your tire goes flat, and you don’t have insurance, you’ll be charged $49. I felt like he was in a hurry to get through the tour because he really didn’t care, and after getting an only 45 minute experience, I believe he really just wants your money for no effort on his part. Do yourself a favor and DO NOT TAKE THIS TOUR. It was awful.

Captain Segway Mike was the best! So much fun! Wish it was a longer tour! Nervous at first but was easy to use and we had zero problems. We will be back with more friends!
