Located in Tucson, Ariz., Desert Christian High School is a part of Desert Christian Schools, which also owns and operates a middle and high school. Founded in 1986, Desert Christian High School enrolls more than 250 students in grades 9 and 10. Its curriculum includes reading, history, math, art, science and English. The school also provides academic programs in agriculture, business, and family and consumer science. It organizes parent-teacher meetings that encourage parental involvement in children's education. In addition, the school organizes a range of athletic activities that includes football, basketball, softball, baseball, tennis, golf, cross-country, and track and field. Desert Christian Schools provides Christ-centered educational programs, as well as employs over 65 staff members. Its schools are accredited by the North Central Association and are members of the Association of Christian Schools International.
