tripadvisorHaving read the conflicting reviews as well as the itinerary of the tour, was pleasantly surprised as to how much we enjoyed and valued the tour. Sure, you can read about the history of Seattle, but how great to be in a small tour van, being educated about the early settlers such as Doc Maynard and John Nordstrom, as well as the current settlers including Amazon and Google. For those not interested in historical or current Seattle information, sit back and enjoy the sites and sounds of Seattle. Yes, our tour guide/owner operator had opinions on various issues which you could choose to agree with or not. We were able to stop and exit the van on several occasions including a lunch break. Having just cruised with an endless supply of food, we shared an excellent wild Alaskan burger with a waterfront view. After the tour, we were transported to the airport and since had utilized port valet services, didn't even have to deal with luggage. It sounded like our tour operator planned on retiring and moving on to another phase of his life. So, I would recommend booking your Seattle tour before he does and sit back and enjoy the ride!
MoreUsed lets tour Seattle post cruise to airport hotel March, 2017. Charley handled the reservation and tour. He has soo much knowledge of Seattle's history and little tit bits of it's culture. He took his time with the tour not on a stop watch. Only wish we would have been able to get out at more of the stops. On time and clear with directions. We were very please with the tour. Some people in reviews take life and comments way too personal and out of context. Recommend the tour.
MoreMy husband and I took this tour the morning we arrived back from a cruise. We had not been to Seattle before and wanted an overview of city highlights.I recommend reading the other reviews, as they are as mixed, as we were. I enjoyed the tour, the guide and his viewpoint of Seattle along with immense history of the area. I took his opinions with a grain of salt, taking into consideration that he grew up with the city as it changed and he saw first hand. He reminded me of my Dad with his age, bias and remarks, but he was humorous. I learned so much about Seattle, though would have liked to see the Space Needle and more time around the market instead of touring his old neighborhoods as much as we did. No chance to stop for photos, but I didnt ask or he probably would have. He was courteous and kind, and helpful with our luggage. After spending crazy money all week on cruise shore excursions, I thought he was a deal! But probably better suited to older travellers not wanting to get out and walk much.My husband, on the other hand, was bored out of his mind! But we had time to kill before we could check into our hotel, and the bar bill for sitting that many hours would have been more than this tour and we were able to see ALL aspects of Seattle and learn a few things too! I'd do it again, hubby? Not so much...
MoreI would try it but not give it too much time. Not ideal if wealth is an issue. It rained all the time though.
MoreI had found this tour online and booked it to fill some time before our flight home after a cruise. The arrangements were made via email and I had been given a phone number to call after leaving the ship. Brandon arrived within a few minutes after I arrived at the meeting point. He had another pick up at a hotel in town. This made for a tour of four participants. Brandon was knowledgeable and enthusiastic, providing great historical information on downtown - the old pioneer square area, a national park site as well as all the new buildings housing tech companies. We also toured around and inland lake, visited house boats and beautiful neighborhoods. We stopped and visited the space needle (admission included in tour price). The view was spectacular. After dropping the other party at their hotel, Brandon took us to the airport. It was an enjoyable way to end our cruise, see a lot of Seattle and get to the airport.
