I had scheduled a full spa day with my mother for my birthday and we were coming from out of town. The morning of my mother woke up with a stomach virus so we obviously weren’t going to be able to go because she was sick. I apologized and asked if we could reschedule to next weekend to which I was told no and that I would be charged the full amount of my services if I did not come. I then asked if I could just pay for a gift card today to use next weekend to which I was also told no…. They were not accommodating at all and charged me full price on services I did not attend because they would not let me get a gift card nor reschedule as if it was my fault my mom was sick. Terrible customer service and I will not schedule any further services with them again.

I have traveled a good amount and experienced many spas in the U.S. and abroad. Here is my review of The Spa at Montgomery. Let me start off by saying that I would absolutely go back to this spa again for the massage that I was given and the warm professionals that work there. However, every person and every company has areas of improvement. I think it important to give constructive feedback, because this is how we become better as individuals, as a company in this case and overall as a human race. Upon arrival, I was greeted by a sincere and warm woman that gave me a tour of the spa. She made sure I understood the amenities and provided me with what I needed to settle in comfortably. The Massuer, John, gave a fantastic massage. He glows positivity and is very attentive to what you want to accomplish. His technique was a good balance of targeting areas that are causing pain while still providing a relaxing experience. The session was nicely orchestrated with a combination of oils, hot towells, heating pads and an electric massage table that he used to prop me into the most comfortable positions as he worked on different areas. The amentities of this European-Style spa include a jacuzzi bath, a quiet area with water and some fruit, showers, a dressing area and a steam room. They also provide a complimentary adult beverage and there is tea available as well. The waiting area could use more softening effects such as paler colors and comfortable furniture. The amenities did not seem that clean; glass tops were dirty, there was hair in what seemed to be community brushes (which should be cleaned in barbacide after each use and not placed back for another person to use, as this could cause a spread of lice) and the showers had shampoo or conditioner streaked across the walls. They offered fresh fruit, but all that was left when I arrived at 4:45pm was two apples. Fortunately these are simple things that can be improved and overall this was a wonderfull experience and has the potential to be first rate. The overall ambiance of the spa is well-established. There are candlelit hallways and dim lighting that really help you to focus inward. The massage rooms themselves are extremely clean and welcoming. If you are in Montgomery, I recommend making a massage appointment with John and taking advantage of this relaxing experience. The cost compared to what is provided is an excellent deal.

I have been coming here over a year and really enjoyed it. Today I felt like the whole experience has been watered down. They didn’t bring the normal complimentary glass of champagne even when I asked for it. Finally I asked if something had changed and they let me know that they no longer did that and hadn’t for “quite some time”. I was just here in May. I wasn’t even offered the change to pay for it. I always order food during lunch time and they brought it out with very little fan fare and no water. So if you want anything to drink here you better bring your own. The day price of $35 is still constant but my overall experience today has me on google searching for spas near me. I have brought them a lot of business but won’t be recommending it to any more of my friends. I will keep it as my back up because the staff is very nice and pleasant and I’m sure the changes aren’t their fault.

Great detoxifying and moisturizing facial with Cassie. Has a great touch. So professional and polite. There was a group of other women in the quiet lounge who weren't very quiet but she was gracious and got them all they needed though it wasn't her job. The staff of ladies is just wonderful. Very attentive. Ended up doing three treatments here. Will be back!

I was most impressed with this Spa and I've visited many in my travels. Jed was my therapist and he was great......separate wet areas for men and women.....whirlpool, steam room and shower areas. Reasonably priced. I highly recommend this establishment for a relaxing afternoon!
