Reviews
tripadvisorThis is a very quaint motel—very quiet, both the motel and the town. Very scenic part of Park County. I would stay there again.
MoreI highly recommend the Fort Wilsall Motel in Wilsall, Montana. We wanted a few days in beautiful country to decompress for a few days, and staying there was the perfect match for what we wanted our vacation to be. Mae (the proprietor) is a genuine and wonderful person. The cabins have a rustic flare to them, built with hand peeled logs; very clean, and very comfortable. Good WIFI, (no TV, but seriously, you are in Big Sky country, who needs TV?) Beds are super comfortable. We enjoyed great days exploring the lakes and trails in the area, and fabulous evenings with a glass of wine, watching the birds and bunnies around the property.
MoreI almost don’t want to write a review about this quaint cabin stay in wilsall. The town is a rare part of the old west that hasn’t been tainted with commercialization of the current times. Yet you will find bars restaurants and the best beef and pork this side of the Mississippi. Montana style. So skip this town and head to Jackson hole or Cody so it remains the treasure it is today.
MoreQuiet location, clean, well-kept room and grounds. No TV, no complaints. Love getting away here! We returned after two years, and everything is just a good as the first time. We had a smaller room this trip, but it was just fine for two of us and the time we were there.
MoreWe stayed at the Fort Wilsall Motel in room number 3. It had a private bathroom and very comfortable bed. The price was very reasonable. The view out the window was spectacular! Mae was very helpful and friendly, ensuring that we were as comfortable as could be and even offered to bring us coffee in the morning. The room was very clean, had nice fluffy towels and complimentary toiletries. Our sleep was peaceful and restful. There was no television, but the room had an assortment of magazines and travel brochures to tell us places to visit in Montana. Although Wilsall looks like there isn't much there, we were surprised at the amenities in town, including a general store and the Bank Bar, where we had a fabulous lunch. The Wilsall people are very friendly.
