tripadvisorI booked a 3-night stay at this property for a trip with my wife and two young kids, but we were forced to check out early on night two due to a total breakdown in basic hospitality and human decency. The issues began at check-in, where the front desk clerk greeted us with a completely bizarre and hostile look that made my family feel immediately unwelcome. On our second night, we returned to the room late around 9:00 PM, only for the toilet to malfunction and begin overflowing. When I went to the front desk for help, the receptionist and another employee simply handed me a plunger and told me I had to fix it myself because no maintenance staff was available. When I insisted on speaking to a manager, they tried to brush me off by giving me a generic phone number and email that offered no real contact. Out of nowhere, a woman stepped out from behind me, claimed to be the manager, and completely dismissed the issue. Instead of helping, she launched into a highly offensive, rude, and racist tirade making sweeping generalizations about our background and washroom habits. When I asked what we should do if the room flooded in the middle of the night, she told me they would just give us extra towels and a mop so we could clean it up ourselves.Disturbed by the hostility and unsafe conditions, I immediately packed up my kids and checked out in the middle of the night. Finding a last-minute replacement hotel cost us over $580 USD out of pocket. This place is completely unprofessional, discriminatory, and entirely unfit for families. Avoid it at all costs.
MoreThe evening check-in person, Tori, was professional, helpful and humorous. The rooms were clean. Appliances worked well. The ONLY problem I had with was with the 'manager' in the morning, as she has been rude and unprofessional another time I stayed there. I had an 11:30 check-out time. She knocked on my door at 11:25 as I was brushing my teeth and told me it was 11:30. I told her it was 11:25, my I-phone was in front of me. She said they use 'her time' at that motel! It was the kind of 'power' insecure people use on others and totally unprofessional. I left the room at 11;30am after having a few direct words with her about her attitude. Beware of her nastiness!
More2 things I wanted in the Hotel I chose was a Hot Tub and Fitness Room. This had both so I chose it, as I got tired of searching. Upon arriving, I was told that the Hot Tub wasn't working. I looked at the Fitness Room, and what a damn joke! All it had was one Treadmill and one Eliptical and a flimsy home weight bench with absolutely NO weights at all in the room. I ended up doing my own bodyweight workout in my room. (Their photo of it was nicely cropped to be misleading.)Other things were that the TV didn't work so I went to call the Front Desk but the phone wasn't working either so I had to walk down there.Front Desk Clerk said there's something going on with the room phones and they don't work. (Nice! Something else that doesn't work.)The safety latch to the door also had a missing hinge on the latch so it was of no use.***Don't spend your money here. There were plenty of other Hotels in Livingston at the same price.
MoreDO NOT STAY HERE! When we arrived at the hotel, we were greeted with a terrible smell in the hallway. Little did we know this was going to be the better part of the experience. When we arrived, we took a look at the sheets to see if there were bed bugs, this is something we look at, at every hotel room. To our surprise, there weren't bed bugs but there were blood stains (multiple) all over the sheets and mattress pad. It was absolutely disgusting and unsanitary. I called the front desk, and they said they didn't have another room for us. When we asked if someone could come change the bedding, she said she was working by herself and if she had time maybe she would get around to it. About 10 min later a man knocked on the door delivering 1 set of sheets only, and they were balled up... not even folded. At this time we thought it was late, and we may not be able to find another place to stay last minute. So we pulled off the sheets and mattress pad to find more stains all over the mattress as well. The guy who delivered the balled up sheets stated he couldn't help us. Long story short, we left the hotel. This was the most disgusting room I've ever seen. You will NOT want to stay here!
MoreI stayed one night at the Econolodge in Livingston, Montana, and it was one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve ever had. The linens smelled awful — like something rotten — and there was a cigarette burn hole in the blanket. The air conditioner was so loud it made it impossible to sleep, and to make matters worse, the smoke detector had no battery in it — a serious safety violation. There was no manager on duty, and the front desk clerk could only tell me to contact the manager the next day. They had no alternative rooms available, so I was stuck in the same unacceptable conditions. When I spoke to the manager the following day, they offered just $20 off a bill of around $230 — for a night with smelly bedding, unsafe conditions, and no sleep. That’s completely unreasonable and unacceptable.I would not recommend this motel to anyone. For the price, you deserve a clean, safe, and quiet room — this place failed on all counts.
