The Gallery Area fits well into the vibe of the Old Market area. Lots of interesting places to look to find something unique and unusual.

I'm not the art type of person unless it's photography. But I always enjoy seeing all types of art down here. Very nice, clean, and a great way to walk around Old Market and see the art in the shorts.

I love this place. Every time I'm in Omaha, I find something special. Last year it was an artist who captured ravens with extraordinary precision in detail to the character of the bird itself. This year there were new finds. Everything ranging from eye catching rock star pop art originals from Frank Costanzo to hauntingly cryptic Voodoo vibe type art by George Garrett III, could be found here. I ended up purchasing a cool original painting of Tom Petty, MusiCares Person of the Year 2017, for next year's MusiCares Silent Auction 2018. The artist who painted this spectacular piece, Frank Costanzo, just happened to be working there that day which made it even more fun. We chatted and took photos for the auction display which I know is going to be a hit during Grammy week. I submitted additional photos of Frank's work (in case you readers out there want to look around) which include renditions of The Beatles, Alice Cooper (which Alice himself signed), Gene Simmons, Ozzy Osbourne, Janis Joplin, The Rolling Stones, Donald Trump, and Omaha stars in the vibe of Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band album cover. George Garrett III was another fantastic artist and I just ordered one of his splendid pieces for my New Orleans themed French perfumery/apothecary room. Any tourists out there looking for a genuine Omaha souvenir, this is a great place to check out. It is located in Old Town Omaha where the architectural ambiance is bountiful and where fabulous shopping and dining experiences await. There is plenty of opportunity to land your perfect travel conversation piece to take home for years of enjoyment. So while you're bounty hunting for that special treasure, make sure to add this to your list. Signed, The Hollywood Vamp reviewing what I love

This is an artists coop. You will find different items for sale of many different art mediums from a number of local artists. Pricing was not over the top. The attendant was pleasant and helpful.

Although my husband and I spent a few minutes after a nice dinner perusing the gallery, I regret to say we were not as bedazzled as other reviewers. Yes, it was nice to see local artists featured in the gallery, but we found the overall number of offerings rather limited and much of the art was the same (e.g. a lot of glass pieces). The largest collection appeared to be of jewelry, primarily metal and some glass. The person at the register was eating a large ice cream dessert with a number of people browsing-just not uber professional in my opinion. We purchased a dragonfly crystal sun catcher with the body done in the chakra crystals. I made a comment about it, and the employee was unfamiliar with that term. Several of the suncatchers were done with the chakra crystals. The implication was he was not very familiar with this artist and his/her work. Not a vote of confidence in terms of general fund of artistic knowledge, something I certainly want if I need a consultation about a piece or would like additional information. Another thing I found rather tacky, he told everyone entering the gallery where to find his pottery. Um, you can't miss it, it's in the middle of the gallery and is the largest pottery display in the gallery. I think we can all find it. Just not very classy IMO.
